Singer WOODZ (real name Cho Seung Yeon) presented an extraordinary stage, creating unforgettable moments with his fans, known as “MOODZ.”
According to his agency, EDAM Entertainment, on the 30th, “WOODZ successfully completed his first encore world tour, ‘2023 WOODZ World Tour ‘OO-LI and,” held over two days on the 28th and 29th at the Seoul Olympic SK Handball Gymnasium.”
The title of this encore world tour, ‘2023 WOODZ World Tour ‘OO-LI and,” signifies the precious moments we share in this place after passing through our own times.
Starting in Seoul this May, he met fans in nine cities overseas, including Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines, with his overwhelming performances, under the title ‘OO-LI’ that already proved popular during his world tour. The addition of ‘and’ to the title upon the news of the encore tour raised the expectations of fans both domestically and internationally, as the previous month’s online ticket sale on Melon Ticket recorded full-house attendance, confirming these expectations.
On this day, WOODZ entered the stage with the song “Busted.” He warmly greeted the numerous fans who came to see him, saying, “I am thankful for many more people coming to the encore tour compared to the first half of the world tour. I have concluded the first half of the world tour successfully and will start the encore tour today, which makes me happy.” At this point, the fans welcomed WOODZ with various colors of light from their official cheering batons, “Nangmanbong,” and passionate cheers.
He continued the concert with a variety of hit songs that crossed genres, such as “HIJACK,” “Blue,” “Chaser,” “Trigger,” “Abyss,” “Kiss of Fire,” “Feel Like,” and “Drowning,” allowing standing and reserved seat audiences to jump and enjoy. He also performed the song “Will It Be Sunshine,” which fans wanted to see and hear the most, as well as a rearranged version of “NOID,” heating up the atmosphere.
WOODZ showcased unreleased songs like “love your lies” and “AMNESIA,” taking the concert’s excitement to its peak. He interacted with the fans through a corner of the concert dedicated to communication, which included a rap battle and slick-back challenge.
As the concert came to a close, WOODZ expressed his gratitude to the fans who came to the venue, those he will meet in the countries of the world tour, and everyone involved in the concert. For the final encore, he performed “Ready to fight,” offering a memorable moment to everyone, thus concluding the two-day Seoul concert schedule.
The Seoul concert, which marked the beginning of the encore world tour, was indeed a time to truly appreciate the talents of “WOODZ,” a versatile solo artist. Demonstrating a solid live performance and his unique rock spirit, he is increasingly gaining recognition from listeners both domestic and international.
WOODZ will continue his tour, visiting six cities in North America, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Houston, Atlanta, and New York, as well as countries around the world, such as Osaka, Nagoya, Yokohama in Japan, Taipei in Taiwan, London in the United Kingdom, Paris in France, and Bangkok in Thailand.
