Actor Yoo Ah-in, who is facing drug abuse allegations, will undergo a summons investigation on the 12th

According to JTBC on the 12th, the Seoul Central District Prosecutor’s Office’s Special Crime Investigation Division (led by Chief Prosecutor Shin Joon-ho) will conduct a closed-door investigation of Yoo Ah-in, who is accused of violating the Narcotics Control Act.

Yoo Ah-in was prosecuted without detention in June on charges of taking more than 7 types of drugs, including propofol, cocaine, ketamine, marijuana, zolpidem, midazolam, and alprazolam.

Previously, the police, who conducted the investigation, applied for an arrest warrant for Yoo Ah-in in May, but the court rejected it, stating that “a considerable amount of evidence related to the crime has been secured, and the suspect largely admits the basic facts.”

The prosecution, which took over the case, has been conducting a comprehensive review and supplementary investigation. It is reported that additional evidence has been secured through the search and seizure of a friend’s house. After the investigation, they are also considering the possibility of reapplying for an arrest warrant for Yoo Ah-in.
