BLACKPINK’s Jennie and Jisoo to establish their individual one-person agencies

Jennie and Jisoo have recently set up their own one-person agencies. However, regarding BLACKPINK group activities, discussions with YG Entertainment are still ongoing, so it is expected that their personally established companies will focus on individual activities.

BLACKPINK, which debuted in 2016 and has been active for seven years, is currently in discussions with YG Entertainment about renewing their contracts. They have global influence, and the members also have a great affection for BLACKPINK, making the industry closely watch the decision regarding the renewal of their team activities.

Over the past year leading up to the contract renewal, BLACKPINK embarked on a global mega-tour. The “Born Pink” tour, which unfolded in 34 cities over about a year from October last year, attracted a total of over 1.8 million viewers, including 550,000 in Seoul, 540,000 in North America, 2.15 million in Europe, 900,000 in Asia, 50,000 in Oceania, and 40,000 in the Middle East, making it the largest-scale tour for a K-pop girl group. They also headlined festivals such as the Coachella Festival in the United States (a total of 250,000 attendees for two days) and Hyde Park in the UK (65,000 attendees).

Since their debut in 2016, BLACKPINK has gained worldwide love with hit songs such as “Boombayah,” “Whistle,” “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du,” “Kill This Love,” “Pink Venom,” “Shut Down,” and more.
