BTS swept the “2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards”.

The “iHeartRadio Music Awards” is an annual music awards ceremony hosted by the US online radio broadcaster iHeartRadio since 2014. It awards artists and songs that have been most played on iHeartRadio broadcasts and applications throughout the year.

Individual members also received awards. j-hope won the “Favorite On-Screen” category for his Hive original documentary “j-hope IN THE BOX,” which documented the production process and activities of his first official solo album “Jack In The Box,” released in 2022.

This category featured fierce competition with nominees such as Beyoncé and Taylor Swift.

V received the award for “Favorite Debut Album” for his solo album “Layover,” released last year. “Layover” made it to 2nd place on the Billboard 200 chart, making V the K-pop solo artist with the highest charting album on this chart alongside Jimin (FACE), Suga (D-DAY), and Jungkook (GOLDEN). “Layover” also boasted high completion, being selected as one of the “30 Best Albums of 2023” by the UK media outlet Timeout.

Jungkook became the K-pop solo artist with the most wins in history by taking home two awards at this event. He won the trophy for “Best Music Video” with his solo single “Seven (feat. Latto).” “Seven,” which has previously won awards at the “2023 MTV Video Music Awards” and “2023 MTV Europe Music Awards,” further proved its global mega-hit status by adding the “2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards” trophy.

Jungkook was also selected as the “K-pop Artist of the Year.” Following the release of “Seven” last year and his official solo activities, Jungkook has continuously succeeded in consecutive hits, proving himself as a ‘global pop star.’ “GOLDEN” continues to gain popularity, maintaining the record for the longest charting period (20 weeks) on the US Billboard 200 chart among Korean solo artists.
