According to the latest chart released by the U.S. music specialist media Billboard on September 23rd, V‘s title track ‘Slow Dancing’ from his first solo album ‘Layover’ ranked 51st on the ‘Hot 100’ chart.
This marks the third time V has entered the ‘Hot 100’ chart with his solo songs, and ‘Slow Dancing’ achieved his highest ranking on this chart.
V’s album ‘Layover’ also made an impressive debut by securing the 2nd position on Billboard’s main album chart, ‘Billboard 200.’ The album recorded sales of 100,000 copies in just its first week in the United States, with 88,000 album sales, 9,000 SEA units (streaming-equivalent album units), and 3,000 TEA units (track-equivalent album units), according to Billboard.
With this achievement, V has become one of the Korean solo artists with the highest performance on the ‘Billboard 200,’ alongside Jimin and Suga. Additionally, ‘Layover’ ranked highly in various other chart categories.
This success demonstrates V’s growing influence and recognition in the international music market.
