EXO’s Baekhyun has spoken out about various rumors, including the conflict with his agency SM Entertainment

On the 8th, Baekhyun conducted a live broadcast in the early morning, stating, “Hello, this is Baekhyun. I apologize for causing concern. I thought I was starting the year with good news, but I feel really sorry that fans are hurt by the misunderstandings and fabricated stories that have been made into facts.”

First, Baekhyun explained the conflict rumors with SM Entertainment that have been circulating since June. Baekhyun said, “Just as there are rules everywhere you go, there are rules to follow within the company as well. I can’t just break those rules recklessly.” He further explained, “Of course, the company and I also understand each other, and we support each other through mutual understanding, agreements, and adjustments, maintaining a good relationship.”

Baekhyun also mentioned his recently established personal company, One Signature. He said, “The company was started with the intention of training many good choreographers and dancers. It’s still in the early stages, but I’m researching and attempting with a good intention.” He added, “The establishment of the personal company was also approved by SM Entertainment. Some may feel uneasy about me establishing a personal company, but I’ll work hard. Please watch over me.”

He addressed rumors about taking a loan of 13 billion KRW to buy a house owned by C Corporation’s chairman. Baekhyun clarified, “I will run my company. It will be with SM, and I will also be active with the EXO members.” He explained the reason for the loan, saying, “I took out the loan as a way to work harder and bear more responsibility while running the company.”

He added, “Chairman C has had a connection with my family for a long time, and we are still on very good terms, like family.”

Baekhyun revealed, “Through this recent dispute, I’ve become more determined to try the path of a producer. I sought advice from many people, and it’s true that Chairman C and MC Mong gave me a lot of advice.”

In conclusion, Baekhyun shared, “While experiencing various complicated matters, seeing how EXO-Ls were exhausted and struggling made me feel very difficult as well.” He expressed his desire to bring happiness to fans and to fulfill his promise. On the 1st of this month, Baekhyun, along with fellow members Xiumin and Chen, notified SM Entertainment of their intention to terminate their exclusive contracts due to issues such as unfair contract periods and opaque profit settlements. At that time, singer MC Mong was implicated in rumors about trying to recruit EXO members Kai and Baekhyun, but he denied this. Subsequently, Baekhyun, Xiumin, and Chen reached an agreement with the agency after deep discussions.
