ITZY to release their new album “BORN TO BE” at 6 PM (KST) on the 8th

ITZY to release their new album “BORN TO BE” at 6 PM (KST) on the 8th.

ITZY‘s “BORN TO BE” contains the bold message, ‘I will move forward as I want in the wide world unfolding before my eyes.’

Going beyond ITZY core musical identity, ‘Respect and love myself’, which has been emphasized since their debut work “Dalla Dalla”, it conveys a more challenging meaning of expressing oneself more freely and overcoming one’s own limitations.

ITZY shows a more intense fiery performance. The music video for the opening track “BORN TO BE” and the included song “Mr. Vampire”, which were shown as part of the comeback promotion, ranked #1 on YouTube Trending Worldwide after their release.

The title song “UNTOUCHABLE” was choreographed by world-renowned choreographer Kiel Tutin and Song Hee-soo, a member of ‘Turns’, the winning team of Mnet’s dance survival show ‘Street Dance Girls Fighter’, which aired in 2022. Lee Se-ran, who worked on “None of My Business” from his previous work “KILL MY DOUBT”, and famous lyricist Bang Hye-hyun wrote the lyrics. Maria Marcus, who has worked with many K-pop artists, participated and created a well-made album. ITZY delivers the message, ‘Let’s face together the numerous conflicts and difficulties in the world around us.’

There are 10 songs in the album, including “Dynamite”, “Escalator”, and solo songs by each member include Yeji‘s “Crown On My Head”, Lia‘s “Blossom”, and Ryujin‘s “Run Away”, Chaeryeong‘s “Mine”, and Yuna‘s “Yet, but”. This is the first time since their debut that ITZY directly participated in writing and composing their solo songs. In particular, Lia, who took a hiatus from her activities due to health reasons, participated in the album with her solo song, attracting attention.

ITZY will simultaneously broadcast the countdown live on JYP’s official YouTube channel and music platform Melon at 5 PM (KST) on this day. At 7 PM (KST), the comeback story will be told through Melon’s exclusive live “Melon Spotlight LIVE”.

After album promotions, she will hold a solo concert at the Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Songpa-gu, Seoul on February 24th and 25th and kick off their second world tour “Born to Be”.
