Heartwarming moments at IU’s Seoul concert spark online discussion

As IU’s world tour receives a warm response starting from Seoul, a post on an online community has also become a topic of discussion.

Earlier, IU held her world tour concert “2024 IU H.E.R. WORLD TOUR CONCERT” at KSPO DOME (Gymnastics Stadium) in Olympic Park, Bangi-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul on the 10th. After the first performance on the 2nd, she performed the final Seoul solo concert today (10th) following performances on the 3rd and 9th. Approximately 60,000 spectators attended the concert.

IU’s solo concert is the first since <The Golden Hour: Under the Orange Sun>, which was held at the Olympic Main Stadium as the first solo artist in 2022, about a year and six months ago. Prior to this performance, there was much attention as the concert recorded a sold-out for all four shows from the first day of pre-sales for ‘Uaena’ 6th generation.

Among these, a post titled “An elementary school student came alone next to me at IU’s concert” was posted on an online community. The author shared a cute anecdote, saying, “A child who looked like an elementary school student gave me snacks and said, ‘It’s my first concert, please take care of me.'” The author helped the child by taking care of their belongings, like a guardian.

In particular, the author discovered a letter written by the child’s mother with the snacks. The letter explained the worry and concern about the child coming to the concert alone, stating, “Fortunately, I succeeded in ticketing, but since the concert is one ticket per person, I had to send my child alone. The accompanying guardian was not close to the child, and the mother failed in ticketing.” She expressed concerns about whether it would be dangerous for the child to go alone at such a young age and if it would inconvenience others, saying, “But seeing my daughter so happy because she loves IU so much, I couldn’t cancel it.”

The child’s mother, who informed the child about concert etiquette, also expressed concerns, saying, “But since the parents have never been to a concert, I’m worried that the teaching might be lacking.” She requested, “If there’s anything my daughter accidentally does wrong, please kindly tell her once affectionately. If she makes a mistake, please forgive her with a generous heart,” adding words of understanding.

In response, netizens commented, “You can feel the dignity of the child’s mother,” “IU fans seem to be angels,” and “I think the recent ticketing restrictions may have made it one ticket per person.” There were various reactions, including concerns for the mother who had to send her child alone due to ticketing failure.

Meanwhile, IU’s <2024 IU H.E.R. World Tour Concert IN SEOUL>, held on the 2nd, concluded today (10th). This world tour will visit various cities starting from Seoul, including Yokohama, Taipei, Singapore, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, London, Berlin, Bangkok, Osaka, Newark, Atlanta, Washington D.C., Rosemont, Auckland, and Los Angeles.
