Jang Do-yeon joins ‘Radio Star’ as New Host, filling the void left by Ahn Young-mi

Broadcaster Jang Do-yeon has been officially announced as the new MC for MBC’s variety show ‘Radio Star’.

According to industry insiders on the 8th, Jang Do-yeon has been confirmed as the new host for the entertainment program ‘Radio Star.’

‘Radio Star’ had been operating under a special MC system involving Kim Gook-jin, Kim Gura, and Yoo Se-yoon after its sole female MC, Ahn Young-mi, took a leave of absence last July due to childbirth.

Ahn Young-mi had left the program ahead of her childbirth in May, announcing, “I will make a comeback with a healthy and wise belly dance.” However, she eventually decided to leave the show. She has since moved to the United States where her husband resides and gave birth to a son. She is currently focusing on childcare.

Jang Do-yeon, the new MC, has earned a strong reputation as a broadcaster through her quick wit and clever commentary across various programs. Her excellent rapport with other cast members and her positive chemistry have garnered attention, and expectations are high for her future role in ‘Radio Star.’

In the meantime, Jang Do-yeon made her debut as a comedian in 2007 through KBS’s 22nd open recruitment and has been actively participating in numerous entertainment shows.
