On the 24th of July, Monsta X‘s Joohoney (Lee Joo-heon) will enter the military training camp in the afternoon and then serve as an active-duty soldier. To avoid overcrowding at the scene, there will be no official event held.
Prior to his enlistment, Joohoney informed Monbebes through Monsta X’s official fan cafe. He stated, “I hope today will be better than yesterday, and I want to convey this to myself and Monbebe (fandom name).” He added, “This time is our rest. In this brief moment of continuous movement rather than a period, I will mark a comma, not a full stop,” expressing his feelings.
Earlier, Joohoney concluded his entertainment activities before enlistment after stepping down as the MC of Mnet’s “M Countdown” on the 20th with a special stage of “Don’t Worry, Be Happy.” On the show, he said, “I will finish with the same heart as the beginning and leave with a good result.”
With this, Jooheon became the third member of Monsta X to enlist following Shownu and Minhyuk. Shownu enlisted in July 2021 and completed his military service in April this year, while Minhyuk also enlisted in the same month for the second time.
Since their debut as Monsta X in 2015, Joohoney has been active as the rapper of the group. He has participated in producing Monsta X’s title tracks, including “Gambler,” “Rush Hour,” and “Love.” In May, he released his first solo album “LIGHTS,” showcasing his versatile charm and gaining love from fans.
