NCT’s Haechan has donated 50 million won for emergency aid to the Hawaii wildfires, expressing his words of comfort

On the 22nd, the Korean Red Cross Society (Chairman Kim Cheol-soo) announced that Haechan of the group NCT (real name Lee Dong-hyuk) has donated 50 million won for emergency relief efforts to aid the victims affected by the wildfires in Maui Island, Hawaii, USA.

Haechan conveyed a message of comfort and encouragement, saying, “To the residents of Hawaii who are facing difficulties due to the sudden disaster, I hope for a swift recovery from the damage and a safe return to their daily lives.” The donation made by Haechan will be used for the recovery of the affected areas and support for the wildfire victims through the American Red Cross, which is active in the region.

This is not the first time that NCT’s Haechan has taken initiative to help those in need. Earlier this year, he donated 100 million won to the Love Fruit Society, a social welfare fundraising organization, for earthquake recovery efforts in Turkey and Syria, and became a member of the Honorary Society, a high-donor group of Love Fruit Society.

Kim Cheol-soo, Chairman of the Korean Red Cross Society, expressed gratitude for Haechan’s warm and sharing actions, which are aimed at helping Korean-Americans in difficult times and Hawaii wildfire victims. He also stated that the Korean Red Cross Society will work closely with the American Red Cross to provide swift recovery and assistance to the wildfire victims.
