Super Shy’ by NewJeans has reached the second place on the Billboard Global 200 chart, marking their highest position to date

NewJeans has achieved its highest ranking on the US Billboard “Global 200” and “Global (excluding the US)” charts.

On the 17th, Billboard revealed the rankings of major charts compiled from July 7th to 13th through their website and social media. According to the rankings, the triple title track and pre-release single “Super Shy” from New Jeans’ second mini-album “Get Up” secured the 2nd place on both the “Global 200” and “Global (excluding the US)” charts.

Billboard stated, “‘Super Shy’ by New Jeans recorded over 63 million streams and sold over 60,000 digital copies (‘Global 200′ standards) in a week.”

“Super Shy” is the third song by New Jeans to enter the “Top 10” on both charts. Previously, the B-side track “Ditto” and title track “OMG” from their single album “OMG” reached the highest rankings of 8th and 10th place respectively on the “Global 200” chart. On the “Global (excluding the US)” chart, “Ditto” reached 4th place, and “OMG” reached 7th place.

With their new song “Super Shy” entering the chart at 2nd place in its first week of release, New Jeans has signaled their entry into the “Hot 100.” Their explosive rise in popularity within the mainstream pop market without local activities can be observed.

They have also topped the domestic major charts. New Jeans swept the weekly charts (July 10th to 16th) on major Korean music platforms such as Melon, Genie, and Bugs, claiming the 1st place with “Super Shy.”

Meanwhile, New Jeans’ second mini-album “Get Up” will be released on the 21st at 1 PM. With a total of six tracks, including “Super Shy,” the album also features another title track called “ETA” and “Cool With You.” The “New Jeans Syndrome” is expected to continue with this album.
