Remembering Park Boram: Farewell to a talented singer

It is with great sadness that the late Park Boram has passed away.

On the morning of the 17th, the funeral procession of the late Park Boram was held at Seoul Asan Hospital Funeral Hall in Songpa-gu, Seoul.

Fellow singers Roy Kim, Park Jae-jung, and Kang Seung-yoon, who were together with the late Park Boram on “Superstar K2”, attended the funeral to pay their respects.

Huh Gak, who was the first to visit the funeral hall, also participated in the funeral procession and laid flowers. Additionally, fellow singers such as Heo Youngji and Giant Pink attended the funeral to accompany the late Park Boram on her final journey.

On the 11th, she passed away suddenly. According to the police, the deceased was found collapsed in the bathroom during a gathering at a friend’s house and was transferred to the hospital but ultimately passed away. She was 30 years old.

To determine the cause of death, the police obtained consent from the bereaved family and requested an autopsy from the National Institute of Scientific Investigation (NISI), which confirmed that there were no signs of homicide or traces of extreme choices.

On the 15th, the NISI delivered a preliminary opinion of ’cause of death undetermined’, stating that there were no signs of homicide or suicide, nor was there a clear cause of death. Detailed examinations are underway to ascertain the exact cause.

The agency stated, “We sincerely mourn the passing of the late Park Boram and ask that speculative reporting and rumors be refrained from, so that the grieving family can properly send off the late individual.”

Park Boram, born in 1994, gained recognition after appearing on the Mnet audition program “Superstar K2” in 2010. After officially debuting in 2014 with the song “Beautiful,” he continued his career with songs like “Pretty Bae,” “CELEPRETTY,” and “Will Be Fine”.
