SEVENTEEN’s S.Coups to miss 11th mini Album activities due to ACL surgery

SEVENTEEN’s S.Coups will be absent from the activities for the 11th mini-album due to the aftermath of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) surgery.

Previously, in late August, S.Coups sustained a left knee injury during the shooting of a sporting event for content production. Immediately following the injury, he was transferred to the hospital for comprehensive examinations, including an MRI, which diagnosed him with an anterior cruciate ligament tear of the left knee, requiring treatment and surgery.

According to SEVENTEEN‘s agency, Pledis Entertainment, on the 19th, through a global fan community, they stated, “S.Coups received anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery and lateral collateral ligament reconstruction surgery for the anterior cruciate ligament tear on the left knee in late August. Currently, he is fully devoted to treatment and recovery.”

According to Pledis, S.Coups is currently in the recovery stage, with approximately two months having passed since the major surgery in the recent hospital treatment process. The injury site is still very delicate, and at this point, which is the most crucial period in rehabilitation treatment, the medical team has expressed concerns about activities that could strain the body.

Pledis stated, “S.Coups was determined to participate in the scheduled activities, but we have decided that focusing on recovery and rehabilitation, prioritizing the artist’s health, is more appropriate. Therefore, it will be challenging for him to participate in most of the upcoming official activities, including the SEVENTEEN’s 11th mini-album ‘SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN’ schedule. We ask for the understanding of the fans.”

Pledis further added, “We will do our best to support S.Coups in recovering his health as soon as possible, so he can meet the fans in a healthy condition.”
