BLACKPINK’s Jennie revealed her inner thoughts about establishing ODD ATELIER

BLACKPINK’s Jennie revealed her inner thoughts about leaving YG Entertainment and establishing a one-person agency, ODD ATELIER

Jennie appeared as a guest in the first recording of KBS 2TV’s music program “The Seasons” held at the public hall of KBS’ new building in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul on the 2nd.

There was a lot of interest as it was the first domestic broadcast stage after establishing the personal label “ODD ATELIER·OA” last year. Additionally, it was her first appearance on KBS music broadcast since her debut.

On this day, when Jennie was asked about going solo, she said, “I founded the company because I wanted to do group activities with the company I had been with for 7 years, but have more freedom and comfort in my individual activities. I came with the crew I’ve been with for a long time.”

Jennie continued, “Oud Atelier is a name I created with the intention of doing well even if the path I take is strange and different from others,” and added, “I am excited because it is my first time holding a microphone and showing it to the public. I’m happy to be able to do it in front of Lee Hyori. Please give us a lot of support.”

Jennie also said, “I learned a lot (at YG), and I was able to do it there because it was a company where I started as a trainee from the beginning.” She added, “With the spirit of challenge, I asked myself, ‘What can you do on your own in the future?’ “I thought, ‘Let’s face it with courage.’”

Regarding BLACKPINK group activities, Jennie said, “We are still doing well with (YG),” and added, “(Personal label) has just opened and we are just starting to meet each other. “I will do my best,” she promised to kill two birds with one stone.

Lee Hyo-ri, who said she supported Jennie’s choice, asked about the expansion of her Odd Atelier, saying, “Can you raise other music friends?”

Jennie said, “I’ve never dreamed of something like that, but it was a bit fun to imagine it while starting a company,” and joked, “I will take good care of the artist named Jenny first.” Hyori Lee responded, making her laugh, “My contract with Antenna ends in February. Please raise me.”

Jennie, who plans to release her solo album at Oud Atelier this year, said, “My dream is to release her solo studio album to the world. “I will set this year as my goal and come back with good music,” he promised to make a comeback on “The Season”.
