Ji Chang-wook to star in K-Drama series “Bulk”

Actor Ji Chang-wook has positively considered and decided to join the cast of the new drama series “Bulk.” The overall filming for “Bulk” is scheduled to start at the end of this month, and shooting is planned for the next six months.

“Bulk” is set against the backdrop of the nightlife in Gangnam and tells a crime story about a team of individuals, including a solver, a prosecutor, and others, coming together to chase down black connections. This series is the first offering from the production company Sonny Pictures, a representative player in the Korean film industry.

Ji Chang-wook will portray a character who operates as a solver behind the glamorous nightlife of Gangnam. He will later join forces with detectives and prosecutors to confront heinous criminal activities.

Previously, it was reported that Cha Eun-woo was supposed to take on this character, but due to various reasons such as scheduling conflicts, it fell through. The production team quickly cast Ji Chang-wook, considering him the perfect fit for the role.

Apart from Ji Chang-wook, Jo Woo-jin takes on the role of a veteran detective, and Ha Yun-kyung plays a prosecutor. Additionally, singer BIBI, who left a strong impression in the movie ‘Hwajan,’ is also part of the cast.

Ji Chang-wook has recently received praise for his performance in Disney+’s “Worst of Evil”. He is also gearing up for the release of various projects, including the JTBC drama ”Welcome to Samdalri,” and the movie ”Revolver.” Furthermore, he has been cast in the 350 billion KRW mega-drama ”Sculptured City”.

”Bulk” aims to be an 8-episode series and plans to be released on an OTT platform.
