Stray Kids is making a comeback this summer with a new album, heating up both domestic and international music scenes.

Stray Kids will be returning with a new album this summer. Although the specific comeback date is still under discussion, considering their major schedules already lined up for July, it is expected that their comeback will likely happen in mid-June.

This comeback comes after 7 months since the release of their 8th mini-album “Rock-STAR” in November last year. Stray Kids, recognized as the “global trend” and a “top-tier 4th generation” group, is anticipated to ignite not only the domestic but also the global music market with their comeback.

In particular, attention is focused on whether this album will set new records on the global stage. Stray Kids, with their powerful global influence, topped the U.S. Billboard 200 with four albums from their debut mini-album “Mixtape” released in 2022 to “Maxident,” “Five Star,” and “Rock-STAR.” Additionally, they achieved the highest ranking among 4th generation groups in the 2023 “Global Album Sales Chart” announced by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) with their 3rd full-length album “Five Star” (2nd place) and 8th mini-album “Rock-STAR” (5th place).

They have also gained immense popularity in the U.S. and European countries. Their previous title track “Rock” made them the first 4th generation boy group to enter the Billboard “Hot 100,” and they continue to show a rising trajectory, attracting attention to their expected achievements with the new album.

Even after their comeback activities, they have already announced activities on the global stage in advance. They will perform as the first K-pop boy group headliner at the music festivals “i Days” in Milan, Italy on July 13th and “British Summer Time Hyde Park” in London, UK on July 14th. Furthermore, on August 2nd, they are scheduled to showcase their power as headliners at “Lollapalooza Chicago” in the U.S. Having already demonstrated their dominance in various global stages last year, they are expected to shine once again and elevate K-pop’s reputation with their new album.

Stray Kids, formed through JYP’s self-survival reality show in 2017, debuted as a 9-member boy group on March 25, 2018. They are a self-producing idol group, with their producing unit – 3RACHA responsible for all aspects of their pre-debut song “Hellevator” and debut song “District 9,” including lyrics, composition, and arrangement. The members showcase their individuality and strengths through their diverse activities.

They solidified their position as global leaders by winning the “Group of the Year” award at the “2024 People’s Choice Awards” in March and then the “2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards” held in Los Angeles earlier this month, where they won the Best K-pop Album category with their 3rd full-length album “Five Star.”

Meanwhile, Stray Kids continues to prepare for their album comeback while engaging in various music projects. On the 12th, they released the Japanese Fuji TV drama series OST “WHY?” through their production team 3RACHA, which added intense flavors unique to Stray Kids and heated up the narrative of the drama. Member Seungmin also participated in the Genie TV original drama OST “Was Our Encounter a Coincidence?” showcasing his delicate vocals.

Japanese fan meetings are also planned. Following their previous event at Kyocera Dome Osaka on June 6-7, they will continue with their first offline fan event in Saitama Arena, “Stray Kids Fan Connecting 2024 ‘SKZ Toy World,'” on the 27th-28th.
