TVXQ!’s Max Changmin to host the 31st Hanteo Music Awards 2023
TVXQ!, a K-pop duo, made history by winning both the Rookie of the Year and the Grand Prize, marking the first time since Seo Taiji and Boys. They have an impressive record, including a Grand Slam at the 2006 awards ceremony and consistently ranking first in annual album sales twice.
Max Changmin, in addition to his achievements with TVXQ, became the first Asian group and male solo artist to top the Oricon Weekly Chart in Japan since their debut in 2005. They hold the record for the most No.1 rankings on the Oricon chart among foreign artists.
TVXQ! also achieved various milestones, such as being the first Korean idol group to hold a solo concert at Tokyo Dome and having the highest attendance for an overseas artist’s single tour, drawing in a remarkable 1 million attendees.
Hanteo Global CEO Kwak Young-ho expressed high expectations, stating, “Max Changmin is not only the protagonist who led the K-pop craze but also a K-pop legend who has maintained his position at the pinnacle for over 20 years. His image aligns perfectly with the concept and values that ‘Hanteo Music Awards’ aims to convey.”
The “31st Hanteo Music Awards 2023” is scheduled to take place on the 17th and 18th at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul. Both days will be broadcast live on SBS M channel.
