A famous rapper in his 30s surrendered to the police, claiming he had taken drugs.

On the 19th, the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul announced that at around 8:30 a.m. (KST),  a famous rapper expressed his intention to surrender himself to a police officer on duty for taking drugs, near the Seoul Regional Veterans Affairs Office in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.

It is known that Mr. A spoke gibberish in words that were difficult to understand while announcing his intention to surrender to the police officer on duty at the base. The police officer who judged Mr. A’s condition to be serious sent him to a nearby district station, and Mr. A was later handed over to Yongsan Police Station.

Yongsan Police Station in Seoul believes that Mr. A took drugs this month and is conducting an internal investigation before booking him on charges of violating the Narcotic Drugs Control Act. Mr. A is known as a rapper who has been actively active recently.

Meanwhile, the entertainment industry has recently been in turmoil due to a drug scandal. In October last year, suspicions were raised that G-Dragon and Lee Sun-kyun were using drugs.

G-Dragon, who had always denied the suspicion of drug use, was cleared of false charges after receiving a negative result in a simple reagent and thorough National Forensic Service test. Afterwards, he established Justice, a foundation for drug eradication activities and sponsorship projects for the socially disadvantaged and artists, and donated 300 million won.

Lee Sun-gyun, who was investigated three times on suspicion of drug use, also tested negative through simple reagent and National Forensic Service tests. However, he suddenly died while being investigated by the police, causing regret.
