 Former T-ara member Areum has parted ways with her boyfriend, with whom she was preparing for remarriage.

Areum and her boyfriend have decided to part ways.

Areum caused a stir in the entertainment industry last December when she announced her divorce and remarriage simultaneously. She appeared on the Tving program ‘Between Divorce and Remarriage’ with her husband and announced that they were in the midst of divorce proceedings, stating, “We will officially register our marriage as soon as the lawsuit is settled.” Areum also shared a couple photo with her boyfriend.

Recently, Areum faced allegations of embezzling over 40 million won from at least 10 people including fans and acquaintances, together with her boyfriend Mr. Seo. There were also suspicions raised that the substantial amount of money borrowed by Areum was related to sports gambling, but she refuted this by claiming it was all the work of a hacker.

During this period, conflicts escalated between Areum and Mr. Seo, eventually leading to their breakup. On her birthday, Areum expressed her longing for her children, saying, “(I) miss (the kids) to death. If only I could hold the kids in my arms, everything would fall back into place,” hinting at her feelings about the breakup.

Areum recently launched her own channel on AfreecaTV and stated, “I did not engage in gambling or scam anyone,” adding, “The children were taken to a protective facility by the local government.”
