(G)I-DLE’s Soyeon mentioned about music censorship.

On the MBC Radio FM4U show ‘Kim Shin-young’s “Noon Song of Hope” aired on the 14th, (G)I-DLE‘s Soyeon stated, “There are many songs that didn’t pass censorship.”

(G)I-DLE recently released their regular album “2” and is promoting the title track “Super Lady”.

Regarding the regular album, Soyeon said, “There were many songs that didn’t make it into the mini-album, so we wanted to promote them through the regular album. The mini-album tends to match the story and atmosphere of the songs, while the regular album shows a more diverse side. It wasn’t difficult to work on the regular album.”

Soyeon expressed regret about “2”, saying, “There are many songs that didn’t pass censorship.”

She felt happy when the track “Wife” was included, saying, “It passed censorship here (MBC)!”

(G)I-DLE’s pre-released track “Wife” sparked controversy for its overly explicit lyrics after its release. KBS deemed it unfit for broadcast due to its explicit content, but (G)I-DLE had no plans to promote “Wife” separately and did not revise the lyrics.
