“Cashero”: Lee Jun-ho will be appearing in the Netflix series

Lee Jun-ho will be appearing in the Netflix series “Cashero”.

The Netflix series “Cashero” tells the story of Kang Sang-woong, an ordinary civil servant who gains superpowers that grow stronger with the amount of cash he holds, using his salary to save the world—a life-affirming, down-to-earth superhero story based on the popular Kakao webtoon of the same name. In a world where money becomes power, Kang Sang-woong, a typical resident center civil servant dreaming of owning his own home, sees his life take a 180-degree turn when he unexpectedly inherits mismatched superpowers.

Lee Jun-ho, who gained global popularity through consecutive hits like the dramas “Kingdom,” “The Red Sleeve,” transforms into Kang Sang-woong, whose superpowers are activated by the cash he holds. Despite the miraculous superpower, the struggle of Kang Sang-woong in the harsh reality of losing money after using his ability will be dynamically portrayed.

Kim Hye-jun, known for her roles in Netflix’s “Kingdom” seasons 1 and 2, as well as in the dramas “Extracurricular,” “Connect,” and “Killers Shopping Mall,” plays Kang Sang-woong’s long-time lover, Kim Min-sook.

Kim Min-sook, a pragmatic character where efficiency is paramount, possesses extraordinary sensitivity and talent for numbers. Despite finding Kang Sang-woong’s superpower unbelievable, she is an exceptional and straightforward girlfriend who supports and encourages him.

Kim Byung-chul, known for his roles in dramas like “Doctor Cha,” “SKY Castle,” “Descendants of the Sun,” “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God,” “Mr. Sunshine,” takes on the role of Lawyer Byeon, a unique character whose abilities are activated by drinking alcohol. Self-proclaimed leader of the Korean Superpower Association, Lawyer Byeon is a superpower lawyer who hunts down superpower individuals for the mystery organization “The Criminals’ Club.” Recognizing Kang Sang-woong’s extraordinary abilities, Lawyer Byeon proposes to join forces to save the world.

Kim Hyang-gi, known for her roles in films like “Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds,” “Along with the Gods: The Last 49 Days,” “Witness,” and the drama “Psychopath Diary,” plays Bang Eun-mi, a superhero who can use telekinesis proportional to the calories consumed. Bang Eun-mi, also known as ‘Breadmi’ due to her unconventional approach, fights as a hero not for fame but for a sense of justice. Fearless and straightforward, she is a reliable superpower colleague for Kang Sang-woong and Lawyer Byeon in their fight against villains to protect their ordinary lives from chaos.

Through “Cashero,” the production team is working together with high expectations. Directed by Lee Chang-min, known for his stylish and witty directing in dramas like “Designated Survivor: 60 Days” and “Welcome to Waikiki,” and written by Lee Je-in and Jeon Chan-ho, recognized for their solid storytelling skills in dramas like “Sisyphus: The Myth.”
