 Kwon Yuri and Ok Taecyeon will host the “Asia Star Entertainer Awards 2024 (ASEA2024)”.

According to the ASEA organizing committee on the 2nd, the two will serve as MCs for “Asia Star Entertainer Awards 2024”, scheduled to take place at the K-Arena Yokohama in Yokohama, Japan, on April 10.

Girls’ Generation received explosive responses simultaneous with their entry into Japan. In 2012, their Japanese debut album “Girls’ Generation” topped the Oricon chart, becoming the first Korean girl group to achieve a million-seller in Japan.

2PM also showcased their presence in Japan, achieving various records such as selling out large-scale tours, topping the Oricon chart, and securing the top spot on the Tower Records sales chart. Celebrating their 15th debut anniversary last October, they confirmed their popularity with a Tokyo Dome performance after seven years. The ASEA organizing committee emphasized the significance of the meeting between Girls’ Generation and 2PM, representing the second generation of idols who caused the Hallyu wave across Asia.

The K-Arena, where the ASEA2024 stage will unfold, has a seating capacity of 20,000 and opened in September last year. It is the world’s largest dedicated music venue, located about 30 minutes from the center of Tokyo. ASEA2024 will sequentially announce the artist lineup, award categories, judging criteria, etc., on its official website from the 5th onwards.
