NewJeans, has achieved an impressive milestone on Spotify with their single album ‘OMG.’
NewJeans, who previously surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify with their debut album ‘New Jeans,’ is now the only 4th-generation K-pop girl group with two albums achieving ‘Spotify 1 Billion Streams’ status. ‘OMG’ reached this milestone in just 297 days after its release, proving the group’s rapid rise compared to their debut album, ‘New Jeans,’ which took approximately 4 months longer to achieve the same feat.
Both ‘Ditto’ and ‘OMG’ maintained their positions at the top of domestic music charts for an extended period, and NewJeans made an impressive mark on various global charts, including entering the ‘Hot 100’ chart on the Billboard Main Song Chart in the United States just six months after their debut.
Furthermore, NewJeans has been nominated in four categories (including one nomination in multiple categories) at the ‘2023 Billboard Music Awards (BBMA)’ and is aiming to win their first BBMA trophy.
