Red Velvet’s Seulgi and Wendy share their thoughts on dance challenges in ‘Bam House’

Girl group, Red Velvet recently expressed their thoughts on the trending idol challenge culture.

On the 15th, a new episode of the web content series ‘Bam House’ with the title “Debut 10 Years, 3rd Generation Idols Red Velvet GOT7‘s Latte Talk” was released on the YouTube channel ‘Bam House.’

In the released video, Red Velvet members Seulgi and Wendy, who recently made a comeback with “Chill Kill,” were guests, and Bambam asked them, “Have you been doing a lot of challenges lately?”

Seulgi replied, “The culture has really changed into a challenge culture,” to which Bambam carefully inquired, “Don’t you think it’s sometimes excessive?” In response, Seulgi agreed, saying, “I do think it’s excessive,” and Wendy honestly shared, “It’s scary.”

Bambam said, “Rather than being scared, I think it should suddenly become fun at some point, but it has become too obvious,” and Wendy expressed, “I want to do it so badly, but I get scared when the other person doesn’t refuse. It has to be done in a short amount of time. I’m scared of challenges.”

Bambam added, “If you don’t do it, these days it won’t be promoted in the world,” and Seulgi mentioned, “That’s right. Since short videos get the most exposure, we can’t afford to miss out on this. We thought a lot about the new direction. It’s not just about dancing; we also considered how to promote this song differently.”

Red Velvet released their 3rd regular album, “Chill Kill,” on the 13th of last month.
