SM reveals 4th quarter comeback lineup: From the hypnotic aespa and enchanting Red Velvet to the dynamic NCT and the upbeat Riize

SM Entertainment (hereinafter SM) has raised K-pop fans’ expectations by announcing a strong artist lineup for the upcoming fourth quarter.

Starting this month with NCT 127‘s 5th regular album, SM plans to captivate the global music audience’s attention with the spectacular comebacks of major artists like Taemin, aespa, Red Velvet, Taeyeon, TVXQ!, and more until the end of the year.

Rising in popularity within just one month of their debut with ‘Get A Guitar’, Riize will release a new song at the end of October to solidify their status as a leading newcomer. Riize achieved impressive success with their debut single, selling approximately 1.02 million copies in the first week, and their title track, ‘Get A Guitar’, reached 18th on the Melon weekly chart and 16th on the daily chart (as of October 11), showcasing strong performance in both physical and digital music charts. Their upcoming release is also highly anticipated.

Taemin, who successfully celebrated SHINee‘s 15th-anniversary album activities, is making a solo comeback on the 30th of this month with a new mini-album titled ‘Guilty’, showcasing a new image as a solo artist. This album marks Taemin’s return after a 2-year and 5-month hiatus since his third mini-album ‘Advice’ in May 2021. The mini-album will feature six songs with various musical styles that capture Taemin’s unique musical sensibility, aiming to captivate global music fans.

After completing their first world tour successfully in 21 cities worldwide, starting in Seoul and spanning Asia, North America, and Europe, aespa will release a new mini-album titled ‘Drama’ on the 10th of next month, embarking on new activities.

Red Velvet is also set to release a new album after approximately one year, with their upcoming full-length third album, promising to showcase their diverse musical world.

Taeyeon is preparing for an album set to be released next month. This album holds particular significance as it marks her return after a long hiatus since her 3rd regular album ‘INVU’ released in February last year. As a result, it is expected to receive even more enthusiastic responses from global music fans.

In December, TVXQ!, celebrating their 20th anniversary since debut, will unveil a new album. TVXQ! will commemorate their 20th anniversary with a theme of ’20&2 (20th Anniversary & Two Members)’, releasing their 9th regular album on December 26th, the date of their debut. They plan to engage in various activities such as concerts and exhibitions to celebrate this milestone.

Furthermore, NCT’s new team, NCT NEW TEAM, is also gaining attention for their pre-debut activities, leading up to their official launch in 2024. NCT NEW TEAM started their pre-debut tour with performances in Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, and other cities in Japan from August 8th to 9th, with a total of 24 shows.
