Super Junior’s Ryeowook is getting married to former Tahiti’s Ari.

On the 29th, Ryeowook posted a handwritten letter on his personal account, saying, “To our ELFs, I have some news that I want to share directly with my dearest friends.”

Ryeowook stated, “As you all know, I have a friend I’ve been seeing.” He continued, “During the time we’ve been together, I naturally felt like I wanted to become another family with her. After much consideration, not as a sudden decision but after long discussions with the members and company, we have decided to hold our wedding at the end of May this spring.”

He expressed his gratitude to ELFs who have always supported him despite him not being perfect and clumsy. He also apologized to those who might be surprised by this news.

Nevertheless, he expressed his determination to continue to support the members and perform on stage together, and to show his best efforts as Super Junior’s Ryeowook and as a singing Ryeowook, to those who still want to listen to his songs.

Lastly, Ryeowook thanked the members and staff at SM Entertainment for their support.

Ryeowook and Ari admitted to their relationship on September 30, 2020. The two, who have been close as seniors and juniors, have progressed into lovers.

Hello, this is Super Junior’s Ryeowook.

To our ELFs, who always cheer us on with all their might and send us love, I have some news that I want to share directly with my dearest friends. This is a letter I am writing with the hope that my sincerity will be conveyed to you.

On November 6, 2005, I first met our ELFs when I was 19, in the early winter. And now, I have become 38-year-old Kim Ryeowook, celebrating my 20th debut anniversary. Always, our ELFs have steadfastly stayed by our side. Through happy times and sad times, we’ve experienced everything together and have become stronger. So, I feel both eager and cautious about conveying this message to you first.

As you all know, I have a friend I’ve been seeing. During the time we’ve been together, I naturally felt like I wanted to become another family with her. After much consideration, not as a sudden decision but after long discussions with the members and company, we have decided to hold our wedding at the end of May this spring.

Despite the fact that Kim Ryeowook has never been perfect and has always been clumsy, I am always grateful to the ELFs who have supported me. I also feel sorry to those of you who may be surprised by this news.
