“The Roundup: Punishment” depicts the crime cleanup operation of Jang Isu (Park Ji-hwan), who returns to face the villain Baek Chang-gi (Kim Moo-yeol), a special forces mercenary from a large-scale online illegal gambling organization led by monster detective Ma Seok-do (Ma Dong-seok), and IT industry genius CEO Jang Dong-chul (Lee Dong-hwi) with the Gwangsu-dae & Cyber Team.

As of 9:30 a.m. (KST), six days before the release of the movie recorded an overwhelming first place in total reservations with 230,037 tickets. This high pre-sale volume, with a reservation rate of 69.9%, proves that “The Roundup: Punishment”, the latest installment of the crime action series representing South Korea, is a work of extraordinary buzz.

Furthermore, as of 9:30 a.m. (KST) six days before the release, it significantly surpassed “The Roundup” with a reservation rate of 21.1% and 64,476 tickets. It also surpassed “The Roundup: No Way Home” with a reservation rate of 50.9% and simultaneous reservations of 227,093 tickets, setting a new record for the highest pre-sale volume in the series. As the overwhelming number one in total reservations, the movie will lead the April theaters is also drawing attention to its new success in the series’s box office record.
