Kang Daniel expressed his serious thoughts and determination about being the MC for Men’s female dance crew survival show ‘Street Woman Fighter Season 2’; “I reflected while considering if I’m qualified”

On the 17th, Kang Daniel attended the production presentation of ‘Street Woman Fighter Season 2’ held at DMC Hall in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, where he expressed his joy about his participation, saying, “I’m very thankful to be called again.”

Kang Daniel has been part of Mnet’s “Street Dance” series since before. Not only in the previous “Street Woman Fighter,” but he also served as the MC for “Street Dance Girls Fighter” and “Street Man Fighter.”

Kang Daniel looked back and said, “I was always impressed while being a part of the ‘Street Dance’ series. It has been a driving force for my performances on stage.” When asked about the differences between the previous seasons and ‘Street Woman Fighter Season 2’, he replied, “This season feels like a documentary about the people participating in the survival. Many completed dancers came out, leading to intense competition in battles.” He added, “I watched closely with gratitude.”

Kang Daniel was also involved in a controversy during his time as the MC for “Street Man Fighter.” He faced backlash for a comment he left on a fan platform, saying, “It’s so comfortable because they’re guys. They’re not sucking up to me. I was originally really scared, but it’s true.”

Some criticized this as a careless remark regarding the female dancers who participated in the previous season. Additionally, during the final live broadcast of “Street Man Fighter,” he made a mistake in mentioning the wrong product name for a program’s product placement.

During the production presentation, Kang Daniel addressed these controversies, saying, “I’ve spent a lot of time reflecting on myself. When I received the offer to appear and questioned if I had the qualifications, I had doubts.” He continued, “I’m very grateful to be seen as a part of the series again. I think showing a good side of myself to the public through the program is the best way,” and asked viewers to watch his efforts to avoid causing harm.

Kang Daniel emphasized that he is fully committed to the “Street Dance” series. He said, “I might appear to be someone who only reads a predetermined script and announces results, but I always make an effort to provide positive energy to those who participate.” He concluded by stating, “I would like to express my gratitude once again for calling me. I will silently fulfill the role of an amplifier, delivering great performances and drama.”

‘Street Woman Fighter Season 2’ is set to premiere on the 22nd of this month and will air every Tuesday night at 10 PM (KST). Kang Daniel will host the show, while Monsta X‘s Shownu will be the fixed fight joker. Additionally, Lee Hata, Mike Song, Bae Yoon-jung, and Aiki will join as special jokers. The lineup includes 8 teams: Jam Republic, Tsukakill, 1Million, Deep and Dope, Bebe, Mannequin, Woollim, and Lady Bounce. Hip-hop label Higher Music will support the participating crews as their agency.
