Ahead of his solo debut, BTS’s V revealed the reason for his collaboration with Minhee Jin

On the 22nd, ‘W Korea’ released the contents of an interview conducted during V‘s photoshoot.

Regarding the reason for his collaboration with Minhee Jin, V stated, ‘I wanted to show a different musical aspect compared to my previous works. To achieve that, collaboration seemed to be the best approach.’

V, who mentioned being greatly inspired by f(x)’s album ‘Pink Tape,’ revealed that he contacted Minhee Jin. The f(x) album V referred to has received a lot of love in K-pop history for its diverse tracks, unique concepts, and consistency.

V explained that the collaboration process with Minhee Jin was very beneficial and smooth, describing him as a warm presence.

Expectations are rising among many fans for V’s solo album ‘Layover,’ overseen by Minhee Jin, the overall producer of the outstanding rookie group NewJeans.

On September 8th, V will make his solo comeback in the music industry with the album ‘Layover.’ The pre-release track ‘Love Me Again’ reached 1st in ‘World Digital Song Sales,’ 3rd in ‘Digital Song Sales,’ 6th in ‘Global (excluding the US),’ and 12th in ‘Global 200.’

Another pre-release track, ‘Rainy Days,’ ranked 4th in ‘Digital Song Sales,’ 8th in ‘Global (excluding the US),’ and 16th in ‘Global 200,’ demonstrating its unwavering popularity.

Meanwhile, BTS, the group to which V belongs, is focusing on individual activities as members Jin and J-Hope are currently serving in the military. With Jimin and Jungkook already achieving 1st place on the Billboard Hot 100 in their solo endeavors, attention is now turning to V’s solo journey. V’s solo tracks are set to be released on September 8th.
